There is new evidence about the corrupt deals that made Roman Abramovich rich.

The Russian government rigged an auction in 1995 that resulted in the purchase of an oil company by the Chelsea owner.

The Russian government paid $13 billion for the company after Mr. Abramovich sold it.

His lawyers say there is no basis for the allegation that he has amassed a lot of wealth through criminal activity.

The UK government imposed sanctions on the Russian billionaire because of his ties to Putin.

The assets of Mr.Abramovich have been frozen and he has been disqualified from being a director of the club.

The Russian billionaire admitted in a UK court that he made corrupt payments to get the deal off the ground.

He was being sued in London by his former business associate.

The case was won by Mr Abramovich, but he told the court how the original auction was rigged in his favor and how he paid off a Kremlin official.

The document is thought to have been smuggled out of Russia.

The information was given to the programme by a confidential source, who says it was copied from files held on Mr Abramovich by Russian law enforcement agencies.

Many of the details in the five-page document have been backed up by other sources in Russia.

A 1997 Russian parliamentary investigation supported the claim that the Russian government was cheated out of $2.7 billion in the Sibneft deal. The document states that the Russian authorities wanted to charge Mr Abramovich with fraud.

The Dept. of Economic Crimes investigators concluded that if he was brought to trial, he would be accused of fraud by an organised criminal group.

On Monday, March 14th, Roman Abramovich's Dirty Money is on the air.

Russia's former chief prosecutor investigated the deal in the 1990s.

He confirmed many of the details about the sale despite not knowing about the secret document.

The programme was told by Mr Skuratov that it was a fraudulent scheme where those who took part in the privatisation formed a criminal group that allowed Berezovsky and Abramovich to trick the government and not pay the money that the company was really worth.

Boris Yeltsin is thought to have protected Mr. Abramovich.

It says that the files of law enforcement were moved to the Kremlin and that an investigation was stopped by the president.

The document says that Skuratov was preparing a criminal case for the seizure of Sibneft because of the investigation of its privatisation. The investigation was stopped by President Yeltsin and 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266 800-381-0266

The sex tape was released in 1999. He says it was a way to make him look bad.

He said that the whole thing was political because he came very close to the family of Boris Yeltsin through his investigations.

When Putin came to power in 2000, Mr. Abramovich was still in the Kremlin inner circle.

Two years later, there was another rigged auction involving a Russian oil company.

A Chinese company was planning to bid twice as much for Slavneft as Mr. Abramovich and another firm did.

If the Chinese won the auction, many powerful people would have lost.

A member of the Chinese delegation was kidnapped when they arrived in Moscow for the auction.

The Chinese company, a very strong competitor, had to withdraw from the auction after one of its representatives was kidnapped upon arrival at Moscow Airport and was released only after the company declared its withdrawal.

Independent sources who did not know about the document are behind the kidnapping story.

The deputy energy minister was Vladimir Milov. He did not comment on the kidnapping story, but he said that senior political figures had already decided that Mr. Abramovich's partnership would win the auction.

The Chinese want to come in and pay a bigger price. Shut up, they say it doesn't matter. It is already decided. The price is agreed. The Chinese will be dragged out.

There is no suggestion that Mr Abramovich was involved in the kidnapping plot.

He has no knowledge of the claim that he was kidnapped, according to his lawyers.

There was a lot of opposition to the Chinese bid for Slavneft.

Whatever the reason for the Chinese withdrawal, the only bid left on the table was from Mr Abramovich and his partners. They bought Slavneft at a low price.

Mr Yeltsin is accused of protecting Mr Abramovich in the Slavneft and Sibneft deals.
