Lewis Hamilton changes name to include mother's name, Larbalestier

Lewis Hamilton said that he is changing his name to include his mother's maiden name.

The seven-time Formula One world champion revealed his decision in front of a crowd at the 2022.

It would mean a lot to my family if I could win an eighth title.

I am going to put her name in my name because nobody knows that.

I don't understand the idea that when a woman gets married she loses her name, and I want my mother's name to stay with the Hamilton name.

Carmen and Anthony separated when Hamilton was young. Carmen took the name of her second husband, and Anthony took the name of her first husband.

Hamilton did not say when the change would take place or what his full name would be.

I don't know if it will be this weekend but we have been working on it.
