The men's NCAA tournament will be exactly the same place as the final AP Top 25: right on top.

The season began there as well.

Mark Few's team dropped as low as fifth after a couple of early losses. For the second year in a row, the Bulldogs were the top team in the final AP Top 25 after romping through the West Coast Conference tournament.

It is a matter of finishing things off. The top seed in the NCAA tournament for the second year in a row, the Georgia lost in the national championship game to the Bears.

Few said it was an amazing accomplishment and a reward for being good for four months. It is an amazing accomplishment by this group and last year's group, and these No. 1 seeds we have been able to earn is also an amazing accomplishment.

Georgia State is in Portland, Oregon, where they should have a big advantage in the national title game on Thursday. They would face either Memphis or Boise State in the second round.

It's a fool's errand to look down the road. Few said there are so many good teams. You don't get the second one if you win the first one.

The top four teams in the final AP Top 25 were the seeds for the NCAA tournament.

The winner of the Wright State and Bryant play-in will face Arizona in the South Region. The top three teams in the Midwest were followed by Kansas, the Big 12's top team, and the Bears.

The Jayhawks play the winner of the Texas Southern-Texas A&M Corpus Christi game.

Tennessee, which won the SEC Tournament, was the biggest loser between the brackets and the final poll. The third seed in the South Region and a difficult road to the Final Four were not received the same way by the selection committee.

Wherever they put us, we will go. Rick Barnes said that he had to be ready to play again. We have a new season. We have to be prepared.

The best of the rest.

The final Top 25 consisted of six teams, with four of them being top seeds in the NCAA tournament. The Boilermakers were the third seed in the East Region.

Texas Tech was 12th and UCLA was 11th. They were followed by Providence and Wisconsin, both of which were left off one of the Top 25 ballots. Arkansas, Saint Mary's, Illinois, and Murray State rounded out the top 20. The final Top 25 of the college basketball season were Connecticut, Southern California, Colorado State, and Texas.

There is a poll on the predictions.

Since Kentucky won the national championship in 2012 no team has been the top ranked in the final Top 25. The last six national champion finished among the top six in the final poll, including third place last season.

The lowest ranked team to win the title in at least 20 years was the University of Connecticut, which was 18th in the final poll of the year.

Up and down, in and out.

Iowa moved eight spots to 16th, while auburn moved four spots to 8th. North Carolina fell out of the top 25 after losing to Virginia Tech in the semifinals.

There is a conference watch.

The Big 12 and Big Ten each had four teams in the final Top 25. The West Coast and Mountain West conferences each had two teams while the once-mighty ACC only had Duke.
