PlayStation will stream a 'Hogwarts Legacy' State of Play on March 17th

You will soon get more than just a cursory look at it. The State of Play stream will be devoted to the open-world Harry Potter RPG. The presentation will include 14 minutes of PlayStation 5 game play. The stream starts at 5PM Eastern.

The developers pushed the release of Hogwarts Legacy to this year because it was originally slated to arrive in 2021. You can create a wizard who perfects spells, tames beasts, and otherwise explores Hogwarts in the 1800s, long before Harry and many other well-known characters rose to prominence. The game will be available on PS4 and other consoles.

The focus is not a shock. There is clearly a lot of demand between Harry Potter fans and the gaming community, as evidenced by the fact that the Hogwarts Legacy debut trailer has been viewed over 28 million times. The State of Play could help Sony sell more consoles.
