Josh Donaldson is moving to the Bronx.
Donaldson was acquired by the New York Yankees in exchange for Ben Rortvedt and Isiah Kiner-Falefa.
The details of the deal were reported by Jeff Passan, Jon Heyman, and Ken Rosenthal.
Donaldson is entering his 12th MLB season. He hit 26 home runs and 72 in 135 games for the Twins last year.
He had his best years with the Toronto Blue Jays.
Donaldson won the American League's Most Valuable Player in 2015, leading the Blue Jay's to a title and a series appearance. He finished fourth in the voting for the Most Valuable Player in 2016 when the Blue Jay made a return trip to the ALCS.

Donaldson signed a four-year, $92 million contract with the Twins before the 2020 season. The team finished last in the league in both of the years.
He will benefit from his power as the Yankees look toward the playoffs.
Kiner-Falefa can play multiple positions. He won a Gold Glove in 2020 and was a solid offensive contributor at times last year.
The trade cost New York a lot.
A two-time All-Star and winner of a Silver Slugger, he has four seasons with 20 or more home runs. Last year, Urshela slashed.267/.301/.409 with 14 long balls and 49 runs scored.
