Trump says his personality kept the US out of war and that, without him in office, there's no one who can 'talk to' Putin

Donald Trump said at a South Carolina rally that his personality kept the US out of war during his presidency.

The fake news said my personality would get us into a war, but it was my personality that kept us out.

The former president told rally-goers in Florence that no one was tougher on Russia than he was and that Russia would not have dared to annex Ukrainian territory.

Trump said on February 24 that the attack would never happen if he were president.

During the rally, Trump implied that he would have been able to take a tough stance with Putin if he was in office, as he said the conflict in Ukraine could lead to World War III.

I see what is happening. If you think Putin will stop, it will get worse. We don't have anyone to talk to him because he's not going to accept it.

He said that he was the one who didn't attack during the administration.

Trump said that the bloodshed in Ukraine was due to a lack of respect.

It should never have happened if he respected the president, he said.

Trump took credit for sending military aid to Ukraine even though he was impeached in 2019.

The former President has recently been slammed by various parties for praising Putin, calling him smart, and describing the Russian leader.
