Ian Rapoport and Mike McCartney, the agents for Ryan Jensen, said that the center had re-signed with the Buccaneers for a three-year contract worth $39 million.

There is also $23M guaranteed at signing and $3.3M in total upside on the deal. Big money for Brady’s center. https://t.co/B2uFkavteS

Hours after quarterback Tom Brady ended his retirement, this news came up.

Tom Brady @TomBrady

These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG pic.twitter.com/U0yhRKVKVm

Jensen addressed both his and Brady's decisions.

Jensen earned his first trip to the Pro Bowl in 2021. He has never missed a regular-season game in his career, and has started 81 consecutive games since his time with the Baltimore Ravens.

Jensen was selected in the sixth round. He was signed to the Ravens practice squad after being released. He was promoted to the active roster in December of 2016 and became a full-time starter in the season that followed.

Jensen was the highest-paid center in the league when he signed a four-year, $42 million deal with $22 million guaranteed with the Bucs. He was the center for the Super Bowl.

The offensive line allowed just 23 sacks in 17 games last season.

The re-signing of Jensen solidified the offensive line for years to come.
