Andy Murray during his defeat to Alexander Bublik at Indian Wells
Andy Murray has not managed to register back-to-back wins since the Sydney Classic in January

Andy Murray was beaten by Alexander Bublik in the second round at Indian Wells.

Murray had won his two previous matches with world number 33 Bublik, most recently in the Netherlands last month.

The former world number one was defeated by a strong Bublik in California on Sunday.

The first set went with serve, but Murray missed three break points when he was leading 2-1 and 3-2.

In the tie-breaker, Murray failed to take another two break points in the first game of the second set, but he saved three set points.

After claiming the only break of serve, he went 4-1 up.

Murray did well to hold on to his serve to make it 4-2 and then fought to stay in the match, but he couldn't get the win to reach the third round.

Murray has not won back-to-back games since reaching the final of the Sydney Classic.
