Chrono Trigger
Square Enix

One of the defining releases of the SNES era and JRPG genre was Square Enix's Chrono Trigger. It is one of the rare games that still feels fresh and vital today, as it did in 1995 when it was first released. If you own an ultrawide monitor, this gem is even more of a reason to revisit.

For the first time in four years, Square Enix updated the Steam version of Chrono Trigger. The update adds support for 21:9 resolutions, improved d-pad controls, and a number of user interface improvements. Ultrawide screen support is a feature that is rare to find on retro ports and even modern games.

The PC version of the game has changed a lot since it was first released. The company was criticized for releasing a lazy port. The interface elements were lifted from the previous releases. The PC version is one of the best ways to play the classic, and Square spent the next year polishing the release.
