The 5G-enabled version of the iPhone SE doesn't look all that different from its predecessor that launched two years ago. The design of the iPhone SE is to make it easy to use one-handed, so it has a physical home button with Touch ID and a form factor that makes it easy to use one-handed.

The iPhone SE is designed to deliver the basics while still giving you a great camera and the latest internal hardware, even though it's taller, wider, and more complex than the previous generation.

The latest A15 Bionic chip is included in the iPhone SE 5G, which also includes 5G. The base model of the 2020 iPhone SE starts at a pathetically low 64GB, you get a single 12MP camera at the back, 7MP front shooter, and an 18W fast charging battery.

The main point here is that the iPhone SE has global 5G bands, and that makes it the obvious choice for users that have yet to make the switch to the standard.

The iPhone SE is limited to Sub 6 5G in North America, which is not the same as Sub 6 in other countries. Sub 6 doesn't deliver the multi-Gigabit speeds that carriers tout in their marketing materials whenever they talk about 5G, but that isn't likely to deter customers given that the iPhone SE is launching at $429.

With the 2020 iPhone SE, Apple was able to take advantage of its strategy of using old designs and specifications, and that should be the case with the 2022 model as well. There isn't anything in the mid-range category that compares to the A15 Bionic from the iPhone SE 5G.

Apple didn't make a lot of changes with the iPhone SE 5G because it didn't need to, and it was one of the best-selling phones of the year.

The best phones in this category have better designs, better cameras, and huge batteries with fast charging, but they lack the familiarity that you get with an iPhone.

When you look at the last five years of phone designs, you can see that we got the notch, the waterdrop cutout, retractable cameras, and now the hole-punch cutout.

Apple has been able to use familiarity to its advantage, as there are seven of its best-selling phones in the top 10 of 2021. Long-term software updates are a big part of this, with the iPhone SE 5G slated to get at least five years of iOS updates. It isn't difficult to see why the iPhone SE 5G will sell more than any other phone in this category. Users don't want to relearn how to use their phones when they upgrade, and with the iPhone SE 5G, they don't have to.
