Undone is an animated series that was released by Amazon in 2019. Amazon renewed the show for a second season in 2015, but there were no details about it until this weekend at the South by Southwest festival.
For the second season of Undone,Alma is traveling through time, though under different circumstances. The new season will see her dig deeper into her family after looking through a portal, unlike the first season where she investigated the circumstances of her father's death. She has the same ability to time travel as her sister, but with the ability to move through past memories. Alma is excited to have this ability in common with her sister, and her enthusiasm is enough to convince Becca to help her find answers about what she saw. Their journey throughout the season will show them the secrets and trauma that have hovered over their family for years, and also force them to confront their mother.
The rotoscope animation style continues in the series and is once againhelmed by Hisko Hulsing. The second season of Undone looks just as good as its debut three years ago, thanks to the clips provided by Prime Video. There is a different energy to the show that feels consistent while also helping it feel distinct and not a simple retread of what came before.
The second season of Undone will premiere on April 29 on Prime Video.
