Naomi Osaka lost her tennis match Saturday, but that wasn't the worst part of her day, as she was reduced to tears by a heckler.

Naomi was playing Veronika Kudermetova at the Indian Wells Tourney outside Palm Springs when a woman in the stands yelled, "Naomi, you suck!"

She begged the ump to let her speak to the crowd after she lost the first set. I am not going to curse. I do not curse. It is weighing on my heart.

If she dared to try it again, officials would boot her.

Naomi lost the first set and the second set.

Naomi asked again, and this time she got the mic, telling the crowd that she had been heckled before. It didn't bother me at all. If you have never watched a video of Venus and Serena, you should watch it. I don't know why, but it went into my head and got replayed a lot.

Naomi was referring to a low point in tennis. Serena was booed when she won the tournament in 2001. She was supposed to play her sister, Venus, but withdrew because of an injury. Fans thought the injury was fake. Serena did not play in the tournament again for 15 years because she was so upset.
