Markieff Morris was cleared to play by the Miami Heat after missing four months with a whiplash injury.

Morris was injured in a fight with Jokic. He missed a lot of games.

Before the game, the Heat coach said that Morris had been practicing with the team for a long time and he was ready.

It has taken longer than expected, but we are all excited about it.

The NBA's Fitness-to-Play Panel, consisting of three physicians who determine if a player is, heard the case of Morris this week.

The altercation happened after the Heat were not called for a foul on Jokic in the game. Morris crashed into Jokic from the side, a foul that referees called a "flagrant" foul.

Jokic pushed Morris from behind. Jokic conceded that it was a stupid play after the Heat players were livid at what they perceived to be a cheap shot.

Jokic was suspended for one game. Morris was fined $50,000 for his role in the incident.

Morris averaged 7.7 points in 18.7 minutes per game off the Miami bench before getting hurt. Over his career, Morris has averaged 11 points over six teams, including a title with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020.
