The new season will show Hughie's attempts to take on the Vought Corporation and the Seven through politics, rather than comical murder, after the last season ended with Hughie opting to take on the Vought Corporation and the Seven through politics. Getting out of Billy Butcher and the Boys will be difficult, as the antiheroes are still taking aim at Vought in the best way they know how and aren't keen on letting Hughie leave their sight. The playing field against Homelander and the rest of the Seven should be even now that Butcher has heat vision.

It looks like the series is just as funny as you would expect, from A-Train pulling a model to a musical number and Kumiko using a US flag. I didn't have to watch Chace Crawford look at an animal while he had sex with me. There is some joy in seeing Jensen Ackles turn up as Soldier Boy, the version of Captain America who doesn't care about how many men he has. Soldier should be able to avoid nails and do what Dean Winchester couldn't.

The first three episodes of the third season of The Boys will premiere on June 3.
