The Museum of Modern Art in New York City was evacuated on Saturday after two employees were stabbed.
The victims were in stable condition and were taken to the hospital.
John Miller, deputy commissioner of public information, said in a press conference that the suspect's museum membership card was revoked due to two separate incidents.
The man jumped over the reception and stabbed the two women multiple times.
Miller said that he was recorded on video leaving the area. The individual is known to police and they are looking for him.
People took to social media to share videos and pictures of police cars surrounding the entrance of the art museum, with some describing being evacuated from the scene.
