Ammon Bundy, an independent candidate for governor of Idaho and far-right activist, was arrested early Saturday morning at a hospital. He failed to leave the property in relation to the child welfare case.

Two days before the trial, there was an incident at the Idaho Capitol.

Around 1:45 a.m., Bundy was arrested. The police department's spokeswoman said Saturday morning.

He was asked to leave the property but did not.

Two people were arrested earlier Friday on suspicion of resisting or obstructing police, and Wendy Kay Whitaker, the governor's campaign manager, was also arrested on suspicion of being at the hospital.

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare referred a child welfare case to the police.

A 10-month-old child was found to be suffering from severe malnourishment after being taken to a hospital, according to a news release from the police department. The child was discharged from the hospital on March 4.

The child lost a lot of weight after a follow-up appointment and when the parents canceled the next appointment, the police were contacted and advised of the child.

The child's father told Health and Welfare that he would bring the child in for an appointment, but did not.

The child's welfare was not checked by police officers at the residence because the people there were unwilling to let them check on the child. The child and his parents weren't there after police received a warrant.

The child involved in the welfare incident is the grandson of Diego Rodriguez, a pastor and People's Rights activist who is running for governor. The author of the post is Rodriguez.

The post said that the baby was in the care of a doctor after his release from the hospital. On Friday, the boy's mother canceled an appointment with the doctor because she wasn't feeling well.

The post said that police went to the family's address but the child and parents weren't there. The family was at a friend's house for dinner. Police stopped the parents at a gas station and took the child after they left.

The Garden City traffic stop was conducted by the Garden City Police. The child was taken into custody by the police near the 3700 block of Chinden Boulevard. The mother of a boy was arrested on suspicion of resisting or obstructing police during a traffic stop.

‘He’s my baby. I’m not gonna leave him’

The child's mother was on Facebook when police told her what was happening and took the baby. The video runs for 6 minutes and features the mother and the police officer.

He is my baby. The mother said she was not going to leave him. I don't understand why I can't be with him while you're doing medical work. If I'm just watching and I'm with him, how am I a danger to him?

The police officer told the mother that the detective had declared the boy in imminent danger.

I don't want to make this worse for you, the officer said. We arrest you if that doesn't happen.

The mother was told by the officer that she could either hand the baby over to the officer or go to jail.

The video has no people in it, but voices can be heard in the background.

Please let him go so he doesn't get hurt, the officer said.

A female voice tells the mother that she will take good care of him.

During the traffic stop, he ordered his followers to come to the site and record the incident.

When the child was taken to St. Jude's, the child's father directed his followers to go there.

The People's Rights, an activist citizens group that was organized by Bundy, sent out a text alert early Saturday morning to go to the hospital in order to have boots on the ground.

Last night my good friend Diego's grandson was medically kidnapped because a medical doctor called child protective services for a missed doctor appointment. It could happen to you if this happened to them.

In an earlier statement from his campaign, he said that the incident was an ambush arrest with no legal grounds.

The mother and her son are not being held at the jail. The mother and her son attended a protest at the hospital.

In an interview with the Statesman on Saturday, he said he thought the child was being treated at the hospital. He was released from jail at 4 a.m. after he paid his bail.

The state has become a pro- police state.

He said that the child does not belong to the state.

Bundy’s history with law enforcement

There is a substantial arrest record for him.

After he was arrested twice in one day at the Idaho Capitol in April 2021, he is set to go on trial on Monday. He was banned from the Statehouse for a year.

During a protest of the Idaho Legislature's special session in August 2020, he refused to leave an auditorium at the Idaho Statehouse and was ejected by police in a chair. He was found guilty of resisting or obstructing officers in July of 2021.

He received a three-day jail sentence, with credit for time served, and did not receive additional jail time. He was sentenced to 48 hours of community service and argued that his time spent campaigning for governor counted as community service.

At the Malheur National Wildlife refuge in Oregon and on federal land near his family's ranch in Nevada, he participated in armed standoffs with law enforcement.

One man died after the Malheur takeover of federal land.

The Oregon and Nevada incidents were where he was charged. He was acquitted in Oregon, but the charges were thrown out in Nevada.

On Saturday, he called the court where his trial will take place.

He said it was a joke.
