A candidate hoping to be the Democratic Party's choice to run for the Colorado District 3 seat in Congress in November has called for a federal investigation into Rep. Lauren Boebert's ties to a former Colorado county clerk who has been indicted on felony and misdemeanor charges.

The grand jury that indicted former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters for her alleged role in a scheme to breach voting system technology may have missed something, according to Aspen resident Adam Frisch.

No one is above the law even if they hold a different position.

Those who have been, are, or are seeking public office should be at the highest standards.

Democrat Adam Frisch of Aspen is running for congress.

Peters turned herself in to the Mesa County jail Wednesday after being indicted the previous day on 10 criminal counts, including attempting to influence a public servant, identity theft, criminal impersonation and conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation.

She is being held on a $500,000 bond and could face jail time if convicted on the charges. The deputy Mesa County Clerk turned herself in to the Mesa County jail.

I don't think it's too far-fetched to link the statements of Rep. Boebert and Tina Peters to one another, but I need to investigate to make sure there isn't a connection.

Frisch wrote to the U.S. Attorney in Colorado that Boebert and Peters collaborated on a regular basis.

I want you to investigate the full degree of the scheming between Boebert, Peters and Bishop as I believe that all co-conspirators should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Frisch is one of eight Democrats who have registered to vote in the party's primary for the Colorado District 3 seat. Boebert is one of three Republicans who will contest the GOP primary.

Democrats and Republicans in Colorado hope to oust Lauren Boebert.

The Secretary of State in Colorado is a Democrat and Peters is in the running to replace her. Peters was indicted on Tuesday and the Colorado GOP called for her to drop out.

The leaders of the Colorado Republican Party believe that any Republican who is indicted by a grand jury and charged by a Republican District Attorney should suspend their campaign.

The Republican Party is the party of law and order and we need every Republican voter to get Republicans elected in Colorado. Today, we are asking Clerk Peters to consider what is best for the Republican Party in Colorado and act accordingly as she avails herself of our judicial system.
