Six people were treated for a drug overdose on a spring break trip and one member of the Army football program was among them.

The people overdosed onfentanyl at a Florida vacation home, according to Michael Hill and Terry Spencer of the Associated Press.

An official from West Point told Hill and Spencer that one of the people hospitalized is an Army football player. A second player was at the house at the time.

Two of the six people are in critical condition.

Steve Gollan, battalion chief of the Fort Lauderdale Fire-Rescue, told Hill and Spencer that two of the people in critical condition are on ventilators, and two others are stable.

Two people became ill after trying to help two other people who had collapsed.

The New York academy's public affairs office said in a statement to the AP that it was aware of the situation involving West Point cadets.

TheBroward County sheriff's office is investigating the situation.
