Maxx Crosby, who played for the Las Vegas Raiders, received a long-term contract extension.

Crosby has agreed to a four-year extension with more than $53 million guaranteed, according to his agents.

Crosby noted that his agreement with the Raiders came on the two-year anniversary of his sobriety.

Crosby said after the deal was announced that he wants to be a Hall of Famer.

Crosby finished second in the defensive rookies of the year voting in his first season, after being a fourth-round draft pick by the Raiders. He recorded 10 sacks in 16 games as a rotation player on the defensive line.

Crosby had seven sacks in 2020 and raised his game last year. He had 30 quarterback hits, 13 tackles for loss and eight sacks in 17 starts. His 100 pressures were the third-most by a defensive lineman.

Crosby recorded two tackles for loss and one sack in the Raiders 26-19 loss to Cincinnati in the Wild Card Round.

Crosby was named to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his young career. The Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Clippers, and Denver Broncos all have top-tier quarterbacks and deep rosters.

Crosby is an elite pass-rusher that can help the Raiders defense and help neutralizing opposing offenses.
