A source confirmed that the Eagles and Kelce have agreed to a new contract that will make him the highest-paid center in the league.
Kelce decided to return for his 12th season in the NFL.
The new deal was reported by the NFL Network.
Sources said the contract is similar to the one he signed last year, but with money spread over multiple years for cap purposes.
The Eagles did everything they could to get Kelce to play another year. The coach sent a keg of beer to Kelce. In a video posted on social media Thursday, Kelce took a long swig from a beer poured out of a keg before announcing his return.
Kelce is playing at a high level. He made his fifth Pro Bowl and was named first-team All Pro for the fourth time. He was tied for third among centers in pass block win rate in 2021, and second in run block win rate.
