The unlimited DVR feature will allow it to compete more directly with cord-cutting rival YouTube TV.

The feature will apply to all of the Live TV subscriptions and will allow for fast-forwarding of recordings for up to nine months. Up to 50 hours of DVR storage was supported by the service but could be upgraded to 200 hours of storage through add-ons that ranged in price from $10 per month to $15 per month.

Beginning April 13th, add-on packages that supported additional DVR space will no longer be charged.

One of the most attractive features of YouTube TV is its unlimited DVR space, and it is one of the reasons why the service is so popular. In December of last year, Hulu with Live TV bumped its base tier up to $70 per month from $65 per month, but it was bundled with Disney Plus and ESPN Plus for free.

The base plan of YouTube TV has more than 100 channels. Adding two separate services that cost$15 between the two of them adds a ton of value for households, particularly for families.

Through one single subscription, users get access to over 80 live channels, including all the major broadcast networks, as well as Hulu, Disney+, and soon unlimited DVR.
