The size of the rocket is important when trying to propel it into space. Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon and Blue Origin, believes in size. Bezos didn't like the way his crotch looked in the Blue Origin spacesuit, forcing a last-minute fix before the launch.
Blue Origin sent its first crew into space in July of 2021. The team included Bezos and a few others, but you wouldn't think their outfits stood out more than the founder's. Bezos wore a giant cowboy hat with big, turned-up side flaps that attracted a lot of jokes.
The mocking can get under Bezos' skin.
Craig Berman, a former Amazon vice president for global communications, told the business pub that he did have a level of self-awareness.
Bezos knows how to make an impression. He had his tailor flown in to Texas to make the adjustments because his crotch didn't fit right.

The crotch debacle is the latest in a long line of eyebrow-raising headlines about the phallic-shaped rocket that Bezos and Blue Origin built to take customers high up off the Earth. It's a little juvenile, but even his arch-rival has gotten in on the fun. Bezos has drawn public ire for treating Amazon employees badly, disrupting public infrastructure, and running off Blue Origin engineers with terrible work culture.
Being the world's second richest man is probably a nightmare for Bezos. Even if it is about his crotch, he will survive a little criticism.
