Mark Hamill ‘gay’ tweet investigated after ‘people from Germany’ complain

He is still fighting stormtroopers.

Mark Hamill, who plays space swashbuckler Luke Skywalker in the "Star Wars" franchise, was cleared of any wrongdoing after people in Germany complained.

The star thanked the German people for the complaint.

There was a complaint about his post about the Florida state senate's passage of legislation prohibiting classroom discussion of sexual orientation or gender identity. Critics dubbed it the "Don't Say Gay" bill.

According to German law, he must be informed that people from Germany ratted on him.

The matter had been investigated and no punishments would be taken.

I am relieved to learn that the word "gay" is not subject to removal under the German law.

It's not clear what rules or German laws he was accused of violating.

In 1969 homosexuality was decriminalized in Germany and removed from the books 25 years later. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum estimates that as many as 15,000 men were imprisoned in Nazi concentration camps for being gay.

The dehumanization of a group of people based on their religion, caste, age, disability, serious disease, national origin, race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation is not allowed.
