Passengers on flights to and from England and Northern Ireland are no longer required to wear face masks.

The operator's in-house airline confirmed that face masks will no longer be required from today in the two parts of the UK that have been affected by Covid.

Jet2 dropped the requirement on some flights and Iata chief Willie Walsh called for an end to the mask mandate.

Under current guidance, it is still mandatory for customers over the age of 12 to wear a mask on their flight.

It is important to note that you may still be required to wear a mask when leaving the aircraft and entering the airport.

It is mandatory for passengers aged two and above to wear a mask on flights to the US, according to the airline.

The FFP2 mask is mandatory for those aged six and over when flying to Italy.
