Apple will not launch a new Mac mini until at least 2023, according to an analyst who made a previous prediction.

According to the predictions made last weekend, Apple will release a new high-end Mac mini and an external display without mini-LED in 2022.

An update to his original statement was issued today, stating that he now believes that Apple will launch all of these products next year.

Older high-end models that still feature Intel chips are sold alongside the M1. Apple could introduce M2 and M2 Pro chips in the updated model. Mark Gurman said on Tuesday that Apple has M2 versions of the 13-inch MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac mini.

The M2 chip is expected to feature the same 8-core processor, but with speed and efficiency improvements, along with a 9 or 10 core graphics card.

We don't know full details yet, but it could feature a 12-core processor. The current M1 Pro chip has a 10-core processor and 16-core graphics card. The latest version of macOS Monterey references the chip in testing.

There were rumors that a redesign of the Mac mini could include a smaller enclosure, a plexiglass like top, and two-tone color options.

We have a guide that walks through all of the expected features and the release date.
