Gladney was found not guilty on a felony assault charge.
Online court records show that the verdict was unanimous.
Overstreet and Williams said in a statement that this has been a challenging time for Jeff mentally, spiritually and athletically.
Gladney was arrested in Dallas in April 2021. He was accused of causing bodily injury and applying pressure to the woman's neck and throat and was charged with domestic violence.
According to a lawsuit the woman filed last year against Gladney, the altercation grew out of an argument and lasted more than two hours. She alleged in the suit that he tried to bribe her and intimidate her.
He could have been sentenced to 10 years in prison if he had been convicted.
Gladney was released by the Vikings after he was indicted. Gladney started 15 games for the Vikings as a first-year player.
Overstreet and Williams said in their statement that they hope that the NFL will take a page from the criminal justice system and believe the guys are innocent until proven guilty. Jeff is in a good place and we are looking forward to engaging with NFL teams about furthering his career at the right time. We will not have any further comments at this time, out of respect for the process.
