Austin Butler, who got his first big break in the movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, is in talks to play the key role of Harkonnen in Dune: Part Two. This announcement comes after a report that Florence Pugh could be cast as Princess Irulan.
The Dune: Part cast would include a number of familiar faces, including Josh Brolin and Rebecca Ferguson, as well as new faces. The first film is up for 10 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, and a slew of other technical and craft awards.
In the upcoming movie "Elvis as the King of Rock and Roll", Butler will play the role of the King of Rock and Roll. He plays one of the main characters in Masters of Air, a World War II drama on Apple TV. Should the Dune series continue, he will have the chance to be in multiple Dune films and shows.
Frank Herbert's epic sci-fi series has one of its antagonists, Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen. The character in the book series is set up as the heir to the Harkonnen empire, and is characterized as being a bad person. The person is a bit of dick, unafraid to break rules and not above fighting dirty. Should he take this role, he will have big shoes to fill after Sting's portrayal of Feyd-Rautha in the 1984 Dune adaption by David Lynch.
