According to a source, the TennesseeTitans have told Pro Bowl guard Rodger Saffold that they are releasing him.

The four-year, $44 million contract was signed in 2019. He was going to get a $1 million roster bonus this week.

The salary-cap space for the TITANS will be saved by the release of Saffold. If he was not released, he was going to hold a $12.8 million cap number.

The salary cap was $5 million over.

During his time in Tennessee, he started 46 of 49 games and only missed three games. He dealt with a lot of injuries this past season, but still played 81% of the offensive snaps.

One of the team leaders was the veteran guard who spoke to his position group before the game.

He was named to the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career.

He has started in 160 games in his career with the Rams and theTitans. The second round of the 2010 draft was where the Rams selected Saffold.

There are two options to replace Saffold at left guard.

TheTitans saved $3.4 million in cap space by releasing offensive lineman Kendall Lamm. Morgan Cox was given a one-year extension by the team.
