Give me a bigger iPhone SE

It's hard to be disappointed by the phone. It's cute, has great specifications, and now has 5G. It fills a small phone niche for people with small hands. The SE only comes in one size, as a big phone convert.

A cheaper phone with a big screen is not a novel idea. There are plenty of them out there, but not if you are on the iPad. If you want a bigger-than-standard display, you have to pay for the iPhone 13 Pro Max. If you get the cheapest configuration, you're looking at a price tag of $1,099.

When I upgraded my phone last year, I had to choose between the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 and the 6.7-inch 12 Pro Max. I got used to the large screen on the iPhone XS Max. I don't need the bells and whistles that come with the Pro models. I would have liked to save a few hundred buckaroos. I didn't want to change to a smaller screen. There was no going back after I went big. I wonder if it cost me more because I am salty. I joined Team Big Phone with the XS Max. I was afraid of the rise of the phone because my phone had died. I was worried if it would fit in my pockets and if I could use it one-handed. I had a shiny new phone.

I have been cursed with both severe and nearsighted conditions. The last time I got my prescription updated, my eye doctor told me that sometimes you have to settle for good enough. It was easy to do everything modern life required of me when I switched to a big phone. It no longer looked comical to change the size of the phone's fonts. It was also easier for me to shoot off emails, watch videos, destroy my brain, and read books. I went from having headaches to not having to do that. The fact that I got better battery life was icing on the cake.

I have not missed using my phone one-handed. I have huge hands and two-handed phone use is better if you are not hanging onto a subway strap. During the work-from- home era, that's the case all the time. My back jean pocket has a 12 Pro Max in it. I'm always carrying a purse because of the fashion industry's scheme to make women's pockets ridiculously tiny.

I don't need the best display or camera on my phone, unlike some of my colleagues at The Verge. I only take pictures of my pets. I want a big screen that doesn't look like garbage and has good battery life. I don't like paying a premium to get that.

Even with the $30 hike in price for 5G, the iPhone SE is still very popular. If you had a 6.5 or even a 6.7-inch iPhone that cost $500-$600, you would sell like hotcakes. There is an appetite for a larger budget iPhone, just look at the sales of the iPhone XR. I don't want a standard-sized phone, so I chose the iPhone 11. The biggest screen I can get is what I want.

There isn't a good reason why Apple hasn't done this. It used the bones of the iPhone 8. It is within Apple's power to do the same with the 11 Pro Max. I don't think it's because Apple is wary of fragmenting its lineup further. It was easy to introduce four different models of the iPhone. Why not try and make two SEs?

I could switch to the operating system. I have seen how my friends treat bubbles. Thank you. There is a choice between the Mini and the SE. I want a cheaper alternative to the Pro Max.
