Aladdin's magic began once that happened. The greatest life a dog could have was on the road to recovery.

Aladdin was happy living the good life. He enjoyed more than his fair share of treats, but he wasn't always playing. Aladdin used his story to help others. He was busy.

The therapy dog would go anywhere he was needed. He was fond of visiting schools and hospitals. He loved to put smiles on the faces of those who needed it. If you were sad or sick, Aladdin could change that.

He became the spokesdog for the rescue that pulled him, and also worked with other groups, including Show Your Soft Side, a nationwide animal abuse campaign that puts stars with animals to show kids that real men and women don't. Aladdin was their biggest star.

The horse is playing with the pregnant owner.

The orphaned grizzly bear and lonely polar bear at the Detroit Zoo are best friends.

Aladdin was named the Therapy Dog of the Year in the American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards and an unofficial mascot of all the Philly sports teams. He was a kindness ambassador for State Farm.

It wasn't unusual to see Aladdin with stars from the Philadelphia Eagles, the Baltimore Ravens or Slash from Guns N' Roses.

Aladdin was happy when he was with his family.

He loved being at the beach. He was a celebrity when he took a dip in the ocean. He would love to sit outside with his family and pets.

Aladdin was the perfect spokesdog for pit bulls. He wanted nothing more than to be praised for being a good dog, despite his rough start to life.

Aladdin passed away Tuesday after dealing with a lot of medical problems. He was given the best care and love, but his body could no longer fight to stay alive.

Aladdin gave back just as he did in life. Donations can be made in his honor to his favorite places.

I am asking everyone who follows his page to make a donation in his name to either Show Your Soft Side or theRonnie Stanley Foundation, or to buy one of LILO's books. That would mean a lot to us.
