Jedi: Fallen Order.

EA

Yesterday was Obi-Wan day on the internet as fans lined up to watch the new trailer for the series that takes place in the quiet years when Obi-Wan is hiding on Tatooine, keeping an eye on his son.

Turns out those years are not so quiet after all.

Fans can't help but notice that Disney Plus has used a lot of Dave Filoni's Clone Wars/Rebels characters.

In that game, the actor is playing Cal Kestis, a Padawan who escapes the Jedi purge of the galaxy and becomes a Jedi Knight in his own right. It is one of the best Star Wars games of the modern era and a sequel is on the way.

The crossovers are starting to add up. The Bad Batch had a junkyard planet called Bracca. When The Mandalorian got a new ship on Tatooine, there was an extremely prominent appearance in The Book of Boba Fett. Fortress Inquisitorius is the first live-action game shown in the Obi-Wan trailer.

Jedi: Fallen Order takes place five years before the events of the Obi-Wan show, and Cal saw Obi-Wan in a hologram in the game. The main villain of the Obi-Wan series is the Inquisitors.

It's easy to imagine that Obi-Wan could be planning the live action debut of Cal Kestis, played by the actor who captured him in the video game, and who is best known for his roles in Shameless.

This could be just a guest appearance, like how Ahsoka showed up in The Mandalorian. We know that Ahsoka was set up for her own series by the appearance, and with the amount of Disney Plus content they want to produce, there are more strange things to imagine than a live action Fallen Order series.

We are getting ahead of ourselves. I think Disney is embracing the most popular Star Wars video game in a very long time because of all the connections to Jedi: Fallen Order. Enough to bring Cal to life? I'm betting on it, but we'll see.
