Emoji reactions should now play more nicely between iOS and Android.

We have known for a long time that the messaging app is being worked on to properly display emoji reactions. The feature will be made available to all as part of a host of new and updated features for its Messages app that are rolling out over the coming weeks.

The beta gave us a good idea of how to properly format the emoji reactions that are sent by users of the mobile device operating system.

It still wants Apple to join the rest of the mobile industry and adopt the RCS technology for a better long-term solution.

To avoid image quality degradation, users will be able to send photos and videos to non- RCS users through a link built into Messages. If you haven't responded to a message in a while, you will now be prompted to wish someone a happy birthday. Links to YouTube videos shared in Messages will now show a preview for Apple's mobile device users, which is nice.

Messages will now sort your personal and professional correspondence, and nudge you to respond to messages.

A pair of Messages features that were first introduced in India last year are getting a global release. One of the most interesting options is to automatically remove one-time passwords after 24 hours to keep your inbox free of useless codes. There is a new option to have the software from Google sort your messages and let you filter them.
