The United Kingdom imposed sanctions on seven more Russians.

The UK government said in a press release that Roman Abramovich, founder of Russian aluminum group Rusal Oleg Deripaska, and the CEO of Russia's largest oil company, Igor Sechin, are included.

Alexander Miller, the CEO of gas giant Gazprom, is one of the oligarchs, along with the chairman of the board of directors of Bank Rossiya, and the president of the Russia state-owned Transneft.

The UK has frozen the assets of some of the richest people in the world, and no UK citizen or company can do business with them.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson said in the release that there can be no safe haven for those who supported Putin.

The seven men are among the Russian billionaires who have been hit with sanctions because of their ties to Putin.

According to the billionaire index, which tracks the net worth of people with at least $13.6 billion in assets,Abramovich hasn't been sanctioned by any other country yet. The New York Times reported last week that he was selling the team for a reported $2.5 billion.

The US had already imposed sanctions on the woman who spoke out against Russia.

The UK imposed sanctions on three Russian tycoons in order to punish Russia for attacking Ukraine.
