The leader of Italy's right-wing League party was called out by the mayor of a Polish town for his pro-Kremlin views.

Hundreds of thousands of refugees have arrived in Przemysl since Russia launched its war against Ukraine on February 24.

The T-shirt that the mayor wore was similar to one that he had worn in the past.

To see what your friend Putin has done, Bakun wanted to personally escort Salvini to a refugee center.

He interrupted the speaker and said: "We are helping refugees, children, moms, dads, from Ukraine."

He has denied taking money from the Kremlin, despite praising Putin in the past as one of the best statesmen.

Some people called him a buffoon.

More than half of the 2 million refugees who fled the Russian army's shelling of its cities arrived in Poland.
