Sony is the latest company to pull business out of Russia in light of the country's invasion of neighboring Ukraine.

Sony Interactive Entertainment, the gaming division of Sony, said Wednesday that it would stop shipments of hardware and software in Russia because of the Russian government's hostilities.

The company said that it would suspend access to the PS store and call off the Russian launch of Gran Turismo 7, its hit racing title that has raked in more than $4 billion across the series to date.

Microsoft, along with a number of other tech and gaming companies, have stopped their business in Russia.

In the early days of the Russian invasion, the deputy prime minister of Ukraine called on the gaming industry to stop doing business in Russia. In 2022, modern technology is the best answer to the tanks, multiple rocket launchers and missiles, according to Fedorov.
