Novak Djokovic pulls out of Indian Wells and Miami Open over US coronavirus rules

The first two Masters Series events of the year, the Miami Open and Indian Wells, have been canceled because of US coronaviruses.

Before entering the country, any non-US citizen must have a Covid vaccine.

The 20-time Grand Slam winner was included in the draw for both events, but has since posted on his social media accounts that he was unlikely to travel.

The Monte Carlo Masters is likely to be his return to the tour.

The Indian Wells draw will be less balanced as a result.

Last year's semi-finalist Grigor Dimitrov will move into the draw if he is next in line to be a seed. A lucky loser from qualification will fill the spot.

The government of Australia canceled the visa of Novak Djokovic after he missed the Australian Open due to his vaccine status.
