It turns out you are correct. We dug into the data and found that most Americans are friendly and would help you shovel your snow. They are busy and mostly silent.

Three things we find reassuring.

  1. 75% of people in the U.S. don't use social media.

  2. In January, only 1% of US adults watch Fox News. The network had 1.15 million viewers.

  3. More Americans donated to charities during the Pandemic than give money to politicians and parties.

Independents who are in the middle would be the biggest party.

  • 29% of Americans were identified as Democrats by Gallup. 27% as Republicans and 42% as independents.
