The company sent an e-mail to employees in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region on Monday stating that employees who are asked to return to defend their country will receive pay for at least three months. It wasn't clear from the email if this benefit would be extended to employees in North America.

The Russia-Ukraine war will be re-assessed byTesla after three months.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for reserve soldiers to fight in February before the invasion.

On the 12th day after Russia invaded Ukraine, an email was sent to employees ofTesla thanking them for their help in bringing the Starlink satellite internet service to the country.

The Energy team at the company assembled and provided battery energy storage systems, known as theTesla Powerwalls, to run Starlink equipment in Ukraine.

The Starlink-and-Powerwall systems were assembled by employees of the company using donated cables and inverters. AC cables were fashioned from scrap at the new factory being built outside of Berlin to power Starlink equipment.

In an e-mail, the company said that it could give away free vehicle charging at some of its Supercharging stations in Poland, Hungary and Slovakia.

In the wake of the Russian war on Ukraine, there are impacts to employees and businesses.

General GM and Ford suspended their business in Russia immediately after the country's invasion of Ukraine. On March 2, the company announced that it had established a support team that would operate around the clock to support and monitor the health and safety of the company's 71 Ukraine-based employees.

A request for comment was not immediately responded to by the company.

You know that the company is committed to doing the right thing. We wanted to let you know what actions are being taken to support those affected by the conflict.

Many people understand how they can contribute. It's important that we show them how we help, what resources we have, and how they can support themselves. Thanks to all of the teams that have contributed to these efforts so far.

As a priority, the HR EMEA team members have been connecting with employees impacted and their managers to make sure we check in. We will make sure that we provide targeted support for our employees.

We will maintain employment and salary for 3 months for employees who have been asked to return to Ukraine for active duty as a reserve, with a view to assessing after this period.

The recent invasion of Ukraine has led to the opening of free Supercharging at stations along the border. Within hours of implementation, local owners of Supercharging stations near Ukraine were contacted byTesla to let them know that non-Tesla electric vehicles could use the stations for free. There are free Supercharging stations in Poland, Hungary and Slovakia for any of the estimated 5,000Tesla owners.

To provide an alternative internet infrastructure,Tesla and SpaceX collaborated to provide coverage expansion for its Starlink services.

Volunteers from the Berlin and Germany Service team responded quickly on Sunday to pack and ship hundreds of Starlink units to the Digital Transformation Minister of Ukraine. The solution was put together in less than 3 days.

The Starlink roll out was supplemented by a fleet of Powerwalls. The system included pre-made DC cables and AC cables made out of scrap from a Berlin scrap yard. A team of volunteers from across the organization committed to doing what they can to support it.

The employee assistance programme has been reinforced. The programme provides counseling and resources for employees.
