The company announced in a post that it is suspending shipments to Russia and Belarus due to the invasion of Ukraine. It also prevents access to Amazon Prime Video in Russia.

Amazon’s suspending shipments to Russia and Belarus

In the post, Amazon says that they have taken additional actions in the region.

New World is the only game title that Amazon sells in Russia. Several game companies have stopped sales in the country. Amazon Web Services stopped accepting new signups in Russia and Belarus on Tuesday.

Major players like Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, and others have stopped doing business with Russia. Even if Amazon kept its services online in Russia and Belarus, users would have a hard time making purchases because Visa and Mastercard shut down operations in the country. Russian banks may start issuing cards that use China's UnionPay system in order to get around this major obstacle.
