USC has signed men's basketball coach Andy Enfield to a contract extension that will keep him at the school through the 2027-28 season.
The extension came after Enfield was linked to the Maryland head-coaching position. Mark Turgeon stepped down in early December and is being looked at to replace him.
The USC basketball program is in good hands with the new coach and his family, he said in a statement.
USC athletic director Mike Bohn said that coach Andy Enfield has exceeded every expectation.
In nine seasons at USC, he has 182-116 with three NCAA tournament bids. He was the coach of the year in the conference.
