  • Breeze Airways added 35 new routes and 10 new cities.

  • The airline will be able to fly transcontinental and enter West Coast markets with the A220-300.

  • Breeze's A 220 will have first-class seats, power outlets, and inflight entertainment.

Breeze Airways has mainly operated on the East Coast since it began in May of 2021, but it will introduce its network cross-country with the introduction of its A 220 jets.

Breeze announced 35 new routes and 10 new cities on Tuesday. In the east and west are new cities such as Jacksonville, Nashville, Fort Myers, Syracuse, and San Bernardino.

Breeze's new A220-300 planes allow for long-haul domestic flights on some of the new routes. The carrier has a fleet of regional jets on short routes to small and mid-sized markets.

Breeze will be able to fly any route within the continental US with the introduction of the new narrowbody.

Breeze is giving its guests the widest cabin, highest ceiling, largest windows and biggest overhead stowed in this class, while still managing to burn 25% less fuel, with half the noise footprint of past generations.

Breeze has flown the longest flights to date. The new fare class is dubbed the "Nicest" because the airline has installed first class seats on its A 220 aircraft.

Extra legroom and standard economy seats will be included in the planes, which is the current configuration of its Embraer jets.

Like other low-cost carriers, each fare class offers different amenities, with the bare-bone option being a personal item. Baggage and priority boarding are offered by theNicer andNicest.

The seats will have a power outlet and a port for video steaming, according to the carrier. The company will begin offering inflight internet on its A 220 planes in October.

Breeze's chief operating officer Lukas Johnson told The Points Guy on Monday that the fleet is flying an hour, hour and a half flights.

Avelo Airlines revealed three new routes out of its East Coast base on the same day. The budget airline will begin flying from New Haven to Baltimore, Chicago Midway, and Raleigh on May 26, making it the carrier with the most nonstop flights out of Connecticut.

Avelo and Breeze have been competing against each other in Connecticut for months in an effort to get a piece of the market.

Breeze currently has four routes out of its newly revealed Hartford base, with six more planned for June, according to the carrier's Tuesday announcement. Breeze has 10 routes out of the Constitution state, tied with Southwest and JetBlue.
