The TennesseeTitans will keep a key part of their pass rush after agreeing to a five-year, $87.5 million contract extension with Harold Landry III.

The deal is worth $525 million.

The 25-year-old will see a significant pay jump after earning $7.8 million over his first four seasons.

The best season of his four-year career came last year, when he led the team with 12 sacks and was second on the team with 75 tackles. He was a key part of the defense that ranked sixth in the league in points allowed.

The linebacker had 43 pressures, which included sacks, hurries and knockdowns.

It was a career year for the second-round pick. In his first three seasons, he had 19 sacks and two forced turnovers.

The latest deal will keep him on the team as they try to stay in contention.

Tennessee should once again have a fearsome pass rush in 2022.
