According to a source, LSU has received a notice of allegations related to the football and basketball programs.
The notice comes from the Complex Case Unit, which is part of the Independent Accountability Resolution Process that is handling this and other cases for the NCAA. The LSU ties to the federal basketball investigation became public in the summer of 2017.

Will Wade's future as basketball coach is expected to be put in the crosshairs again. The LSU head coach was suspended from the SEC and NCAA tournaments after Yahoo Sports reported that he was on a wiretap talking about a recruiting offer. An interview with a middleman Christian Dawkins was used in the documentary to say that Wade was 100% talking about money.
In the wake of the initial backlash from Wade's offer, then-LSU athletic director Joe Alleva stepped aside.
There are allegations in NCAA paperwork that Wade arranged or offered improper payments to at least 11 prospects.
If Wade is found to commit or charged by the NCAA with a Level 1 or Level 2 violation, the school can fire him without penalty. The scope of this notice is believed to have the potential to test the thresholds.
The federal basketball investigation became public in September of last year. The case took so long because it was directed to the IARP process, which was invented to help with complex cases. For decades, the adjudication process has been criticized as too slow.
