A Texas man with ties to a militant group was found guilty on all counts Tuesday in the first trial relating to crimes committed during the January 6 U.S. Capitol riot.
Reffitt, a 49-year-old from Texas, was found guilty of five felonies after storming the Capitol with a holstered handgun and interfering with police.
Reffitt was found guilty of obstruction of justice after prosecutors said he threatened his teenage children not to report him to authorities.
A witness said that Reffitt traveled to D.C. in a vehicle with weapons, including an AK-47 style rifle.
Reffitt left most of the weapons in the vehicle but took his handgun to the Capitol, the witness said.

The videos and data presented at the trial suggested Reffitt encouraged the crowd of Trump supporters to break the police lines and move into the Capitol. Reffitt told fellow members of his group on a call that they couldn't have done it without him. More than 800 people have been arrested for their roles in the rioting, according to the Justice Department.
Tarrio was indicted Tuesday on several charges, including conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, for his alleged role in the attack on the Capitol.
The Capitol riot trial ended with a conviction.
