The National Football League's two-time reigning Most Valuable Player, the Green Bay Packers, and quarterback Rodgers agreed to a deal that will pay Rodgers $50 million a year, according to the NFL Network.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported the deal is worth $200 million over four years, making Rodgers the highest-paid player in league history.
According to Pat McAfee, Rodgers told him personally that he will return to the Packers, but Rapoport's reports on the financial terms are false.

Rodgers demanded a trade from Green Bay in the spring and held out before returning to the team in July. Rodgers led the league in quarterback rating and led the Packers to the best regular season record in the NFL. Rodgers made false claims about side effects from the Covid-19 vaccine, as well as misleading reporters about his vaccination status, which caused significant controversy off the field. Many took a lengthy February post from Rodgers thanking members of the Packers organization as a sign he planned to leave Green Bay, but Rodgers clarified on the show that he had yet to make a decision on his future.
With Rodgers in place, the Packers are expected to place the franchise tag on Adams, who is likely to sign a one-year contract worth upwards of $20 million, according to Rapoport.
