There has been a lot of discussion between the arrival of Charlie Cox in Spider-Man: No Way Home and the transition of Daredevil to Disney+. There is one person who is not worried about the MCU era of Daredevil and that is Charlie Cox.
Cox trusts Kevin Feige and the team at the studio to bridge the gap between the darker tone of the original TV series and the lighter tone of the MCU. The actor told ComicBook.com that he wouldn't put it past the people at Marvel to be able to do that. I'm a fan of everything they've done so far, and I wouldn't underestimate them. If they wanted to make a more PG version of Daredevil, I would back them to find a way to do it in keeping with what we have done on the show. Maybe there is a little less blood, but I back them to do it.
Daredevil was rated TV-MA for profanity and its excessive amounts of violence, while Disney+'s fare, including The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, as well as the last few episodes of WandaVision, were also rated TV-MA. If you've seen The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, you know they can get a lot of graphic violence, so it should take very little to bring them to Disney+ standards.
Daredevil is never going to be the same as before because of the maturity of the character and the tragedy of his stories. Do you know what I mean? That's the point. I think the age of the character, the Christian guilt, his history with women and stuff, it has to be a little bit more mature.
I would argue that Daredevil is more mature than his friends because he has been considered one of the best. Daredevil stopped a bunch of ninjas from getting an immortality locked inside a dragon skeleton buried under Manhattan.
If you want to see what a new Daredevil TV series could look like on Disney+, you should probably watch Moon Knight. The two heroes have been compared to each other in a number of ways, so if Moon Knight can be made to work, it will be easy to bring back Daredevil. You can watch Daredevil, Defenders, and the other shows when they come to Disney+ on March 16.
