According to prosecutors, a Georgia man didn't make the best use of his COVID-19 relief money and is now headed to prison.

Vinath Oudomsine was sentenced to 36 months in prison for using nearly $60,000 in COVID-19 relief funds to buy a Pokémon card. He admitted to one count of wire fraud.

Oudomsine received $85,000 from the Small Business Administration after applying for a relief loan for his entertainment services business. He lied on the application and spent the relief money he received to buy a card.

Oudomsine was fined and given three years of supervised release after he is released from prison. He forfeited the card.

Oudomsine took advantage of the programs to line his own pockets.
