A league source confirmed that multiple teams have inquired about a possible trade for Pro Bowl running back Christian McCaffrey.

Multiple league sources said the Carolinas would consider trading for a first-round pick and another player without a big salary-cap number.

The average salary of a running back in the NFL is $16 million, and that's with four years left on the contract of Christian McCaffrey. He has a salary-cap number of over 14 million in two years.

According to league data, the panthers have $26,529,771 in cap space.

In the same season, he became the third back in NFL history to have 1,000 yards rushing and receiving. The other two were Roger Craig and Marshall.
