Renée Zellweger's boyfriend Ant Anstead asks her to 'please leave the wardrobe at work' ahead of 'The Thing About Pam' premiere
  • Ren was asked to leave the wardrobe for her show.

  • The Thing About Pam is a show in which Zellweger plays convicted murderer Pam Hupp.

  • The idea is to be accurate.

The host of the show asked his girlfriend to leave the wardrobe at work because she was wearing a fat suit.

The fictionalized crime show based on true events will tell the story of Betsy Faria's murder and how her friend Hupp almost tricked a small-town into believing her husband was dead. Authorities find a lot of secrets hidden when they dig into Pam's background.

The idea is to be accurate, which is why she spent hours in the makeup chair transforming into Hupp.

The star said that it was important to as closely resemble Pam Hupp as possible because she seems so familiar.

She said that people were projected who they thought Hupp was onto her. She felt her transformation was needed to make the story believable.

The first time she saw herself as Hupp, she was amazed.

She said that when it comes to resembling a real person on a show like The Thing About Pam, one usually expects the costume to get a couple of things, but she had no expectation that it would.

The Judy star said her time in New Orleans was hot but that it was amazing to watch the designer work. She said that the designer focused on precise details right down to the last little freckle.

The Thing About Pam will premiere on Tuesday, March 8 at 10 p.m. On NBC.
