The Georgia Republican is facing criticism after purchasing thousands of dollars worth of stock in a major defense contractor two days before Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

According to a financial disclosure made public on Monday, Greene purchased between $1,000 and $15,000 worth of stock in the company on February 22, two days before the Russian president announced a military campaign against the nation.

Thousands of dollars worth of investments have been made in Caterpillar, Clorox, and NextEra Energy.

Add this to the list of reasons members of Congress shouldn't be allowed to trade stocks. The Minnesota Democrat has been a frequent target of the Georgia Republican, who has repeatedly implied that she is a terrorist. She claimed that her brother married her own brother.

Private companies have been blamed for making violent conflicts worse.

After the Russian invasion began, the congresswoman declared war is big business for our leaders.

The Javelin anti-aircraft missile that Western countries have been supplying to the Ukrainian military is manufactured by Lockheed Martin.

In a statement to Insider, she said her investment advisor made the trade and promoted the company as an American company.

The investment advisor has full discretionary authority over our accounts. This was purchased with other companies like Clorox, Walgreens, and Caterpillar.

The Conflicted Congress investigation found that dozens of lawmakers and nearly 200 senior congressional staffers had failed to disclose stock purchases in a timely manner in violation of federal law.

Several other lawmakers have investments in war-related industries and companies.

The TRUST in Congress Act is one of the proposals that would ban the practice. The House Committee on Administration is looking at stock trading reforms in Congress.

She would not say if she supports a stock trading ban for lawmakers.

A firebrand Republican congresswoman who has been removed from her committee assignments and spoke at a white nationalist conference has a colorful stock trading history. She invested in companies that support the Black Lives Matter movement despite the fact that it represents the strongest terrorist threat in our county.
